Group Sustainability and Quality Manager at Henry Brothers, Deborah proactively works to underpin and steer Henry Brothers Net Zero Strategy, alongside their longstanding Sustainability and Environmental ethos. This includes working closely with clients to support them to deliver on their Net Zero requirements, alongside the company's highly experienced inhouse teams, value and supply chains. Recently, Henry Brothers have successfully completed on 2 major projects for Net Zero and PassivHaus, namely Staffordshire Nursery for Staffordshire University and Sports Park Pavillion for Loughborough University: a testament to how Henry Brothers as a Contractor can grasp the intricacies behind designing and delivering on these types of projects for the built environment. Working alongside industry peers, Deborah is part of the Construction Employers Federation Sustainability leadership team for Northern Ireland, which aims to navigate the intricacies and opportunities that Net Zero presents to the Construction industry. More recently Henry Brothers were awarded the prestigious accolade of The Kings Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development.

Deborah O’Hanlon showcased Henry Brothers’ award-winning sustainability initiatives in her presentation Sustainability, Our Golden Thread. Her real-world examples of biodiversity and net-zero achievements offered practical inspiration for attendees.
